Job summary

Workiva Inc. is seeking an Engineering Manager for GRC Reporting to lead the engineering team responsible for a unified reporting domain across all GRC solutions. You will own architecture, delivery, and resourcing, guiding a group of engineers toward high-quality, auditable outputs.

Partner with Product and UX, drive AI-native reporting while maintaining manual paths for practitioners, and ensure outputs are trustworthy for boards, auditors, and regulators.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• 3+ years directly managing engineers, including supervisors and/or individual contributors.
• Experience with GRC, compliance, audit, or risk management domains or similar high-compliance domains.
• Experience building shared platform capabilities consumed by multiple product teams.
• Experience evaluating engineering output in an AI-augmented environment.
• Experience with AI-augmented workflows and ensuring explainability and auditability.
• Strong communicator and conflict-resolution skills.
• Solid grounding in SDLC, CS fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers and own delivery schedule and risk communication.
• Own the reporting system, principles, and patterns across all GRC solutions.
• Define data structures and handoffs to ensure reportability of GRC data.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and UX Lead to shape domain direction.
• Coach engineers on career development, performance, and growth.
• Participate in recruiting, selection, and onboarding of new team members.
