You will manage real-time social media execution, track analytics, and help plan campaigns and newsletters with a focus on reader participation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts or operations for a publication, brand, or organization with a substantial audience reach.
• Experience in audience engagement, community management, or digital tactics.
• Experience optimizing content for Apple News and other content distribution platforms.
• Proficiency with social media platforms and analytics tools.
• Proven ability to work independently and communicate proactively in a remote work environment.
• Creative thinker with a passion for media and community building.

Responsibilities

• Own real-time social media execution across all channels, including content scheduling, publishing, and same-day judgment calls on prioritization.
• Track Chartbeat and platform analytics in real time throughout each shift, surfacing and acting on trending stories as they break.
• Assist in planning, implementing, and evaluating engagement campaigns and audience development initiatives.
• Support newsletters and community forums to encourage active participation and feedback.
• Prepare and deliver engagement metric reports on a set schedule, using data to inform and adjust strategy.
• Respond to audience inquiries and moderate discussions to maintain a positive and respectful environment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of daily activity, processes, and outcomes.
