Placements24 seeks an experienced Energy Systems Analyst to remotely support projects focused in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. You will build energy models, run simulations, and assess techno-economic opportunities to improve efficiency and sustainability for diverse clients.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Engineering or a quantitative field, 5+ years of energy analysis, and proficiency with PLEXOS, HOMER, SAM, Python or R. Strong reporting and remote collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 5 years in energy analysis, energy modeling, or related field.
• Proficiency with energy modeling software (PLEXOS, HOMER, SAM).
• Strong data analysis skills; experience with Python or R.

Responsibilities

• Analyze energy usage data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Develop and maintain energy system models for simulations and forecasting.
• Evaluate feasibility of integrating solar, wind, and storage tech.
• Conduct techno-economic assessments of energy projects.
