Our client, a dynamic energy consultancy, is looking for a skilled Energy Systems Analyst to join their team, remotely supporting operations related to projects in the Queenstown, Eastern Cape region. This role involves in-depth analysis of energy consumption patterns, system performance, and the integration of renewable energy sources. You will be responsible for developing models, conducting simulations, and providing data-driven insights to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability for various clients. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, proficient in energy modeling software, and possesses a strong understanding of energy markets and technologies. Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Energy), Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy analysis, energy modeling, or a related field.
• Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., PLEXOS, HOMER, SAM, or similar).
• Strong data analysis skills and experience with statistical tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R).
• Understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and grid integration principles.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects effectively in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with South African energy landscape is a plus, supporting our Queenstown, Eastern Cape focused work.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills to facilitate remote collaboration.
