Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a remote Energy Storage Preconstruction Project Manager to lead a single project from planning through closeout. You will collaborate with engineering, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and legal to organize and direct the work across our team.

Responsibilities include maintaining cost control, writing procedures, supervising staff, and representing SOLV Energy in owner meetings. You will work with multiple departments to manage design constraints, lead times, risk, and

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Energy Storage Construction Experience.
• Field experience (5-8 years, Project Engineer or Assistant Superintendent).
• Leadership ability – able to pull together team members from diverse backgrounds in a remote environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Able to travel (estimated 25%).

Responsibilities

• Maintain cost control ledger and job cost statements.
• Write project procedures.
• Supervise and train Preconstruction Project Engineers and clerical staff.
• Collaborate with BD, engineering, accounting, construction, and legal to create contract scopes of work.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Procurement on design constraints and long lead procurement items.
• Research and understand project-specific design requirements and permits.
• Liaise with the Engineering Manager to track changes impacting schedule or budget.
• Represent SOLV Energy in owner meetings.
• Support estimating reconciliation for design iterations.
• Maintain reporting on cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion.
• Develop risk mitigation plans with project team operations management.
