Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Preconstruction Project Engineer – Energy Storage to join our remote team. You will support the preconstruction phase, coordinate deliverables, manage RFI and BOM processes, and collaborate with the project engineering team to ensure on-time, on-budget execution for energy storage projects.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in energy storage construction or design, familiar with cost accounting, estimating, scheduling, and reading plans. Proficiency with CMiC is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of Energy Storage construction or design experience.
• Construction cost accounting basics.
• Basic estimating and scheduling skills.
• Ability to read and understand plans and specifications.
• Effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Drafting and advanced computer skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Precon PM and internal/external engineering teams.
• Maintain project documentation and CMiC records.
• Support subcontractor coordination, safety planning, and project engineering functions.
• Coordinate preconstruction to construction documentation and LNTP development.
• Provide general project engineering support including meetings and cost reporting.
• Work with engineering, estimating, procurement, and operations to validate design assumptions and risks.
• Assist in development of EPC execution plans and constructability reviews.
• Review EPC contract documents for constructability and alignment.
