Job summary

Leidos Energy is seeking an Energy Market Analyst to join a growing North American power market consulting practice. The role focuses on energy price forecasting, market analysis, asset valuation, and advisory services for independent power producers and electric utilities.

This position allows fully remote work and prefers candidates near Washington, DC; Denver, CO; or Boston, MA. You will develop asset projections, perform market research, and model portfolios using proprietary Leidos tools

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; 8–12 years of experience, or a Masters with 6–10 years in energy consulting.
Strong knowledge of major US regional power markets.
Proficiency with Aurora, ProMod, or similar models; Excel expertise for ad hoc analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop asset and portfolio market projections and valuations; draft Market Consultant's Reports for utilities and energy firms.
Conduct market research and modeling of power generation assets and portfolios using Leidos tools and licensed software.
Contribute to new approaches for evaluating emerging issues in the North American energy sector.
