Job summary

AlphaGov seeks a senior energy analyst to design impact evaluations for energy efficiency and electrification programs. You will estimate gross and net savings using billing analysis and regression models and review TRM assumptions and program tracking data.

You will plan participant and contractor surveys, assess cost-effectiveness, and write evaluation reports to regulators. This is a remote-first, project-based consultant role with occasional client travel.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years in energy efficiency program evaluation (EM&V) or energy data analysis.
• Billing analysis and statistical skills (R, Python, SAS, or Stata).
• Experience writing evaluation reports for regulators or utilities.

Responsibilities

• Design impact and process evaluations for energy efficiency and electrification programs.
• Estimate gross and net savings using billing analysis and regression models.
• Review technical reference manual (TRM) assumptions and program tracking data.
• Plan participant and contractor surveys and interviews.
• Assess cost-effectiveness and program design improvements.
• Write evaluation reports and present results to regulators and program staff.
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narrative to AlphaGov proposals when you authorize naming.
