Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a skilled Endpoint Security Administrator to join a remote IT security team. You will deploy, manage, and maintain endpoint protection across all devices, protecting against malware, ransomware, and cyber threats for a growing online business.

You will monitor alerts, perform root-cause analysis, and develop security policies for Windows and macOS endpoints, while collaborating with IT support and staying ahead of evolving threats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in IT/Cybersecurity.
• 2–4 years of IT support, system administration, or endpoint security experience.
• Experience with managing and configuring endpoint security tools such as CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Defender for Endpoint, Sophos.
• Strong understanding of Windows/macOS and network security principles.
• Knowledge of malware, ransomware and endpoint attack vectors.
• Certs like CompTIA Security+ are beneficial; scripting (PowerShell) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage endpoint security solutions (antivirus, EDR, anti-malware).
• Monitor endpoint security alerts and investigate threats and incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement remediation strategies.
• Develop and enforce endpoint security policies across company devices.
• Keep endpoints up-to-date with patches and updates.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans and report findings.
• Assist in incident response planning for endpoint compromises.
• Collaborate with IT support to troubleshoot endpoint issues.
• Stay current with emerging endpoint threats and technologies.
• Maintain documentation of endpoint configurations, policies, and incidents.
