Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Endpoint Security Specialist to join a globally distributed team working remotely. You will deploy and manage endpoint detection and response solutions across a diverse device fleet, develop security policies, and lead incident response efforts from a home office.

The role requires 3+ years in IT security with strong endpoint focus, experience with EDR tools (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Defender for Endpoint), and cross-OS security knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/IT/Cybersecurity.
• Minimum 3 years in IT security with endpoint focus.
• Hands-on with EDR solutions like CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or Defender for Endpoint.
• Knowledge of Windows, macOS, Linux security configurations.
• Experience with scripting for automation (PowerShell, Bash).
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Certs such as CompTIA Security+ or CEH are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage EDR solutions across devices.
• Develop and implement endpoint security policies and rulesets.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and perform forensic analysis as needed.
• Respond to and remediate endpoint security incidents, including malware infections.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and basic penetration testing on endpoints.
• Provide technical guidance and support on endpoint security best practices.
• Stay updated on threats and security technologies related to endpoints.
• Collaborate with IT operations and security teams for integrated measures.
