Job summary

Kimmel & Associates Inc. seeks an experienced Project Manager for Structural & Miscellaneous Steel to lead projects from detailing through fabrication, erection, and closeout.

This remote role involves travel across the Western United States and requires coordinating with preconstruction, detailing, fabrication, purchasing, safety, and project administration teams. Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
• 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager or Assistant Project Manager within structural steel.
• Strong understanding of full structural steel lifecycle: detailing, fabrication, procurement, delivery, erection.
• Experience with design-assist and design-build project delivery preferred.
• Familiarity with Procore document control and project management workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for clients and general contractors after preconstruction turnover.
• Coordinate engineering, design teams and detailing personnel for drawing releases and RFIs.
• Align procurement, fabrication releases, deliveries and erection sequencing with schedules.
• Direct and support Assistant PMs and project coordinators.
• Coordinate vendors, subcontractors, and erection teams throughout execution.
• Manage scope changes, subcontracts, purchase orders and contract administration.
• Develop monthly cost forecasts, oversee progress billing and cash flow.
• Monitor schedules, budgets and project performance to resolve issues.
• Coordinate field issue resolution with erection, safety and quality teams.
• Participate in meetings and site visits to align on project needs.
• Maintain project documentation and Procore workflow.
• Drive final billing, retention release and closeout.
