Ideal candidates have a JD from a top-tier law school, a California Bar in good standing, and 4+ years of California employment litigation experience.

Qualifications

• JD from a top-tier law school with excellent academic record.
• Active California Bar in good standing.
• 4+ years of California employment litigation experience.
• Of Counsel candidates: 9+ years and first-chair capabilities.
• Experience defending employers in employment litigation.
• Experience before courts, arbitrations, mediations, and agencies.
• Class Action and/or PAGA experience preferred.
• Knowledge of California and federal employment laws.
• Ability to manage matters from inception through resolution.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy.
• Strong organization and time management.

Responsibilities

• Defend employers in a broad range of employment litigation matters and agency proceedings.
• Handle all aspects of litigation: strategy, pleadings, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, trials.
• Represent employers before state and federal agencies.
• Advise on compliance and workplace issues.
• Provide training on employment and labor law topics.
• Collaborate across offices to provide strategic, business-oriented legal counsel.
