Job summary

Larson Maddox, an AmLaw 100 employment law platform, seeks an experienced Employment Law attorney to join its remote Charges Defense team. This role focuses on administrative defense, EEOC charges, client counseling, and written advocacy, with a reduced billable requirement for balance and quality.

The ideal candidate will have six+ years of management-side employment law experience, handle 20+ charges annually, draft statements, and participate in settlements and remote mediations.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of management-side employment law experience.
• Significant experience handling EEOC, state, and other administrative agency charges on behalf of employers.
• Experience managing a high-volume charges practice, ideally handling 20+ agency charges annually.
• Excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Active law license in the candidate's state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Drafting persuasive position statements and responses to agency investigations
• Responding to agency requests for information
• Managing EEOC, state agency, and other administrative charges from intake through resolution
• Regular client communication and strategic counseling
• Representing clients in settlement negotiations and remote mediations
• Managing multiple matters efficiently through a proprietary, data-driven workflow
