Job summary

Akumin is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join our team. This full-time, remote role is located within the United States. You will serve as first point of contact for employees and managers on workplace concerns, policy interpretation, and employee relations matters.

Responsibilities include intake, triage, investigations, conflict resolution, and updating confidential records. You will partner with the Senior Manager, Employee Relations to promote a positive experience while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience.
• 1–3 years in Human Resources with focus on Employee Relations.
• Excellent active listening, verbal and written communication skills; analytical and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Basic understanding of employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA) and HR compliance protocols.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers reporting workplace concerns or policy questions.
• Independently manage and investigate routine employee relations cases; develop and deliver PIPs and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of ER inquiries and investigations; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
• Advise employees and frontline managers on policies, procedures, and HR best practices.
• Assist with development, communication, and delivery of HR policies and employee relations training.
