Job summary

Verano is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to join its centralized ER team. You will manage a broad caseload across assigned locations, conduct investigations, advise on corrective actions, and ensure policy compliance in a high-volume, multi-state, and unionized environment.

The role offers the opportunity to grow within employee relations and progress toward senior or lead ER roles, with remote work options from states Verano operates in.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• 3–5 years of employee relations experience with workplace investigations.
• Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws.
• Experience advising managers on corrective action and performance management.
• Excellent written communication and strong organizational skills.
• Experience in unionized environments and applying CBAs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely investigations into harassment, discrimination, and policy violations.
• Interview parties, analyze evidence, and prepare findings and reports.
• Provide ER guidance to managers and People Business Partners.
• Maintain confidential case records and ER dashboards.
• Advise on corrective action, performance management, and terminations.
• Monitor employment law developments and policy updates.
• Support responses to agency inquiries and CBAs.
