Qualifications

• 3+ years of Employee Benefits underwriting experience.
• National Accounts (5,000+) and Regional Accounts (1,000-4,999) experience preferred.
• Detail oriented; able to challenge existing norms using logic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong understanding of quality evaluation processes/principles.
• Ability to work across all levels and areas within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Execute quality reviews of Employee Benefits underwriting cases to ensure compliance and pricing standards.
• Perform targeted audits to identify trends or process changes informing Risk Management.
• Conduct root cause analyses on quality trends from multiple data sources.
• Provide feedback to Underwriters and leaders on quality results and recommendations.
• Support Strategic Reserve by underwriting during peak periods; collaborate with Underwriting & Sales.
• Identify learning opportunities and present training materials.
• Participate in strategic initiatives and offer thought leadership.
• Act as an underwriting SME; stay current with guidelines and tools.
• Explain enhancements to ensure consistency across the organization.
• Coach and mentor Underwriters; tailor consultations.
• Manage time and workload; balance priorities.
