The Hartford is seeking an Executive Underwriter to lead casualty underwriting for national accounts, typically 500+ employees. You will underwrite opportunities from brokers and agents, manage renewals, and collaborate with Field Team to drive growth and profitability.

This role emphasizes rigorous analysis of risk, mastery of loss rating concepts, and adherence to guidelines while escalating when needed. Hybrid or remote work options are available, with offices in Hartford, CT or nearby

Formación

5+ years of P&C carrier underwriting experience.
National Accounts loss-sensitive experience preferred.
Proven ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
Analytical thinker with sound decision-making.

Responsabilidades

Underwrite casualty lines for accounts with typically 500+ employees.
Assist Field Team in underwriting new business opportunities from brokers and agents, and manage renewals.
Rigorously analyze information to assess and price risk for each account.
Collaborate with Field Team on portfolio management and growth in the assigned territory.
Maintain profitability and strong returns on the book; escalate when guidelines need adjustment.
