ITW is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in the United States to design, develop, test, and support embedded software for microcontroller-based systems. You will bring up new hardware, integrate drivers, and work closely with hardware and manufacturing teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, independence across development phases, and experience with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers. Quarterly travel to Fairmont, MN may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Software, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related).
• 4+ years embedded software development or related engineering experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and RTOS.
• Strong hardware/software integration and system design understanding.
• Independent work across design, coding, testing, and documentation.
• Experience with board bring-up and low-level hardware/software debugging.
• Familiarity with JTAG, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
• Experience with Bluetooth/BLE, UART, SPI, I2C, USB, or Ethernet.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, code, test, and debug embedded software for customers and internal products.
• Design and modify moderately complex software from specifications.
• Apply engineering principles to create robust embedded solutions.
• Modify software to meet customer configurations.
• Validate software versions for proper hardware integration.
• Bring up embedded software on new hardware platforms.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers and BSPs for interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and document analyses.
• Provide technical input to schedules and planning.
