Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize firmware for next-generation connected devices, industrial automation systems, automotive platforms, medical devices, and IoT products.

This role focuses on developing high-performance, real-time embedded applications that interact directly with hardware components while ensuring reliability, security, and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Embedded C and Modern C++ for firmware development.
• Extensive experience with ARM Cortex-M/A, STM32, NXP, Renesas, TI, or Microchip MCUs.
• Experience with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, Embedded Linux, or VxWorks.
• Experience developing device drivers and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, USB, MQTT, BLE, TCP/IP.
• Experience with Embedded Linux kernel configuration and driver development is desirable.
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and firmware build systems (CMake, Makefiles, Bazel).
• Understanding of secure coding practices for embedded systems and Agile Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
• Develop low-level device drivers, BSPs, bootloaders, and HALs.
• Build real-time applications on RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, or Embedded Linux.
• Develop firmware for communication interfaces: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB, MQTT, BLE.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during bring-up, validation, and system integration.
• Optimize embedded applications for CPU, memory, power, and boot time.
• Implement secure firmware update, secure boot, and hardware-based security features.
• Debug hardware-software integration using scope, analyzers, JTAG/SWD.
• Write unit and integration tests and automated validation scripts.
• Participate in architecture/code reviews and Agile development activities.
