Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Proficiency in Embedded C and Modern C++ for firmware development.
• Experience with ARM Cortex-M/A, STM32, NXP, Renesas, TI, or Microchip MCUs.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, memory management, interrupts, DMA, timers, and peripheral programming.
• Hands-on experience with RTOS platforms such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr, ThreadX, Embedded Linux, or VxWorks.
• Experience developing device drivers and low-level hardware interfaces.
• Strong knowledge of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, USB, Modbus, MQTT, BLE, TCP/IP.
• Experience with Embedded Linux development, kernel configuration, and driver development is desirable.
• Familiarity with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated firmware builds, and version control systems.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices for embedded systems.
• Experience in Agile Scrum environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software and firmware for microcontroller and microprocessor-based systems.
• Develop low-level device drivers, BSPs, bootloaders, and HAL.
• Build real-time applications using RTOS platforms (FreeRTOS, VxWorks, ThreadX, Zephyr, Embedded Linux).
• Develop firmware supporting interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet, BLE, MQTT).
• Collaborate with hardware engineers during board bring-up, validation, and integration.
• Optimize applications for CPU, memory, power, and boot time.
• Implement secure firmware update mechanisms and secure boot.
• Develop software for sensors, actuators, wireless modules, and peripherals.
• Debug hardware-software issues with oscilloscopes, JTAG, logic analyzers.
• Write unit/integration tests and validation scripts; participate in code/design reviews.
• Support production deployments, field diagnostics, and firmware maintenance.
