Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain software for embedded devices and systems. The role focuses on translating customer requirements into robust software designs, integrating software with hardware, and continually improving performance and reliability.

The engineer will work with Linux, RTOS, and Windows environments, using compilers and debugging tools, while delivering integration and test reports as part of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is required.
• 8+ years of related work experience is advantageous.
• Strong experience in ADA, C/C++, Python, Java and OO languages or scripting languages.
• Experience with Linux, RTOS, and Windows environments.
• Familiarity with compilers, debuggers, bus or logic analyzers, and lab/test equipment.
• Experience in embedded systems, requirements and traceability, software troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Ability to deliver software integration and test results reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software for embedded devices and systems.
• Review customer requirements and translate them into effective embedded software designs.
• Integrate embedded software with hardware components and optimize performance.
• Monitor and analyze system performance to improve efficiency, reliability, and stability.
