Job summary

Sigma Software is seeking a Middle Embedded Software Developer for a remote, full-time role focused on IoT-powered beverage solutions. You will work with real-time firmware, touchscreens, networking, and secure OTA updates across distributed teams, delivering high-quality embedded systems for smart devices.

Qualifications

4+ years of commercial embedded software experience in C/C++.
Strong STM32 and ARM Cortex-M expertise.
Experience with UART, I2C, SPI, and Wi‑Fi.
Networking protocols: MQTT, DNS, DHCP, mDNS, TCP/IP, UDP.
Experience with FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS.
Experience with secure boot and OTA updates.

Responsibilities

Design and implement embedded software components and drivers for displays, cameras, sensors, and actuators.
Develop beverage dispensing logic, including temperature control, pumps, valves, and safety mechanisms.
Implement and maintain secure OTA firmware update functionality over HTTPS.
Develop and optimize embedded GUIs for LCD touchscreens.
Debug firmware and perform root-cause analysis on embedded hardware.
Collaborate with architects, security specialists, and QA engineers.
