Job summary

Copeland is seeking a Senior Firmware Engineer to lead design and optimization of low-power, connected firmware for IoT devices. You will architect secure embedded software bridging edge hardware with cloud infrastructure and collaborate with hardware, systems, and cloud teams from bring-up to deployment.

The role requires 5+ years in embedded firmware, strong RTOS and security experience, and hands-on work with hardware debugging and CI/CD pipelines. Eligible US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded C/C++ firmware experience for IoT/edge devices.
• Proven RTOS experience for multi-tasking architectures.
• Experience with wireless tech (Wi-Fi, BLE, Cellular IoT) and security standards (mTLS, AES).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-grade firmware for resource-constrained MCUs (ARM Cortex-M, ESP32, RISC-V).
• Implement low-power strategies to maximize battery longevity in edge devices.
• Develop and test OTA update mechanisms and secure boot processes.
