Job summary

Valinor Enterprises is seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop embedded software for connected environmental sensing systems. You will work across hardware and software, from prototype through production and field support, owning drivers, provisioning, and firmware updates.

This hands-on role requires collaboration with electrical engineers, experience with low-power IoT devices, and a focus on security and reliability across hardware revisions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years firmware or embedded systems on microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Strong embedded C/C++ with bare-metal and RTOS experience.
• Proficient with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes).
• Experience with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN or Ethernet.
• IoT firmware experience including OTA updates and remote config.
• Low-power or battery-operated device experience and security.

Responsibilities

• Develop low-level firmware for microcontrollers and device drivers.
• Bring up new hardware, integrate sensors, and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on MCU selection and interfaces.
• Develop device connectivity, low-power operation, and OTA updates.
• Create and maintain provisioning and testing workflows for production.
• Own firmware from prototype through production and field support.
