Job summary

Cognizant’s Life Sciences Consulting team seeks a Project Manager / Business Analyst / Project Lead to drive end-to-end ELN/LIMS implementations in regulated laboratories across the United States. You will partner with lab operations, Quality, IT, and vendors to deliver compliant informatics solutions.

This role blends project leadership with business analysis: gathering requirements, translating them into functional specs and roadmaps, overseeing validation (IQ/OQ/PQ, UAT), data migration, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience delivering Life Sciences, laboratory informatics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industry technology projects.
• Experience leading ELN and/or LIMS implementation projects within laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, creating process maps, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory workflows, sample management, laboratory operations, and scientific data management processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ELN/LIMS implementation projects across planning, requirements, design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment and post-implementation support.
• Partner with stakeholders, laboratory teams, IT, and vendors to gather, analyze, document, and manage requirements.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specs, process maps, and roadmaps with traceability.
• Support configuration, integrations, data migration, and adoption activities to ensure successful deployments.
• Oversee validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ, UAT, defect management, change control, and compliance documentation.
