Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Project Manager / BA / Project Lead to drive end-to-end ELN/LIMS implementations in regulated life sciences environments. You will lead requirements, design, validation, and deployment while coordinating with stakeholders, IT, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Life Sciences, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years delivering Life Sciences, laboratory informatics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industry tech projects.
• Experience leading ELN and/or LIMS implementation projects in laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience gathering business requirements, developing functional specifications, creating process maps, and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Strong understanding of laboratory workflows, sample management, laboratory operations, and scientific data management processes.
• Experience supporting system configuration, integrations, data migration, testing, and deployment activities.
• Strong knowledge of GxP, GLP, cGMP, GAMP 5, CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11 regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience managing UAT, defect management, validation activities, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, leadership, facilitation, business analysis, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methods.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end ELN/LIMS implementation projects from planning, requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, validation, deployment, and post-implementation support.
• Partner with business stakeholders, laboratory teams, IT organizations, and vendors to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, functional specifications, process maps, and implementation roadmaps with full traceability.
• Support system configuration, customization, integrations, data migration, and adoption activities for successful deployment.
• Oversee validation activities including IQ/OQ/PQ, UAT, defect management, change control, and regulatory documentation.
