Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Civil Engineer to lead civil/structural design efforts for nuclear power uprates in the United States. The role combines project leadership, mentoring, and hands-on analysis to ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities span multidisciplinary collaboration, design initiatives, and field deployment, with travel up to 10%. A strong background in concrete, steel, seismic design, and power uprates is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10+ years of civil/structural design experience in nuclear or power generation.
• Experience evaluating structural impacts of major equipment upgrades and power uprates preferred.
• Experience with concrete, steel, seismic and structural analysis.
• Strong communication and technical writing skills.
• Ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers.
• US Citizenship required.
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.
