Job summary

826 Boston is seeking a Senior Community Engagement Coordinator to support the Volunteer Management Team with DEI‑centered engagement, training, and partnerships that strengthen our programs.

You will cultivate 300+ volunteers, coordinate community events, manage onboarding and appreciation activities, and use Salesforce for data reporting to help us create inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse students.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in K-12 education or youth nonprofit organizations.
• Experience with volunteer management preferred.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ability to provide feedback with humility and tact.
• Familiarity with social justice and inclusive practices.

Responsibilities

• Support Volunteer Program Manager in stewarding 300+ volunteers annually.
• Build relationships with university partners and community orgs.
• Develop and lead community-based recruitment events.
• Oversee onboarding and training sessions.
• Coordinate communications and training materials.
• Plan volunteer appreciation events.
• Assist with outreach including university visits and community fairs.
