Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama is seeking a CPC-certified medical coder to join our billing team in Homewood, AL. After training, the role may offer remote work options while requiring location within Alabama or neighboring states.

Responsibilities include coding and billing for physician, clinical, and surgical services using ICD-10, ensuring payor accuracy, and auditing batches to maintain regulatory compliance. Minimum two years of relevant experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Be a CPC certified coder with at least two years of experience.
• Experience coding ICD-10 and billing physician, clinical, and surgical services.
• Familiarity with Allscripts EHR/PM or similar platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and bill for physician, clinical, and surgical services using Allscripts EHR/PM, ICD-10 coding.
• Ensure billing for payors is accurate and transmitted on time.
• Audit batches and documentation to ensure compliance with UCA and regulatory standards.
