Structural Integrity Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Auditor to ensure the quality assurance program is properly implemented.

The role includes conducting NQA-1 audits, surveillances, and driving corrective actions, with remote capability and 25% travel to client sites in North Carolina. The candidate should have 5+ years of nuclear QA experience, lead auditor qualification within six months, and familiarity with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and Part 21.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and five years of nuclear experience, or an Associate’s degree and seven years in nuclear QA
• At least five years leading nuclear QA audits
• Experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1
• Experience with NIAC/NUPIC audits is highly desired
• Remote work with travel required (25%)

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct NQA-1 audits of nuclear processes
• Perform surveillances to monitor QA standards
• Follow-up on audit findings and implement corrective actions
• Liaise with stakeholders to manage corrective actions
• Develop and improve quality programs and procedures
• Maintain Lead Auditor certification per NQA-1
• Review project packages for contract review and closeout
• Review calibration records to support project activities
• Update approved suppliers list with annual/triennial updates
