Qualifications

• A four-year engineering degree from a recognized university.
• Minimum 15 years QA experience in Nuclear Industry on Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Fabrication.
• 5+ years demonstrated experience managing QA/QC staff.
• Management/Leadership experience and training.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Computer literate in MS Office.
• Strong understanding of codes and standards: 10 CFR50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, AWS, AISC, ACI, ASME NQA-1.
• Experience with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and 10 CFR Part 21 is a plus.
• ASME NQA-1 Nuclear Lead Auditor Certification would be an asset.
• Physical demands include standing/walking; site trailer and office environments.
• Nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates QA/QC across multiple projects/sites with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
• Develops/approves project/site Quality Plans aligning with customer requirements.
• Prepares project/site quality procedures meeting codes and internal requirements.
• Ensures Aecon's NQA-1 program is consistently implemented across active projects.
• Ensures QA/QC staffing meets project objectives.
• Trains QA/QC personnel and maintains qualification records.
• Liaises with customers, regulators, and subcontractors on quality matters.
• Represents the project during quality audits by customers and authorities.
• Identifies quality problems and initiates corrective actions with disposition.
• Provides reports on the effectiveness of the QA program; manages costs within department budget.
