The County of El Dorado is seeking an Information Technology Supervisor in Placerville, CA. The role leads a vendor application support team, oversees dashboards, workflows, test scripts, and access-control logs, and ensures security through audits while coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.

The ideal candidate has strong staff leadership, project management, and policy implementation experience, with a focus on maintaining robust IT operations and service-level agreements.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a four-year college or university in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• Seven years of experience in systems analysis, systems engineering, programming, data/database administration or related fields in a multi‑platform environment; lead direction of staff.
• At least one year of project management and staff leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of technology employees within an assigned technology option area.
• Hire and direct staff; plan, schedule, assign, and evaluate work; procure resources as needed.
• Develop staff training plans and ensure training needs are met.
• Recommend goals and implement policies for the assigned option area; determine staffing needs.
• Prepare reports and maintain service-level agreements; troubleshoot complex IT issues as a working supervisor.
