Job summary

The Department of Anesthesiology within the UW - Madison School of Medicine & Public Health seeks a Multi-Functional Research Administrative Manager to lead grant lifecycle management and oversee pre- and post-award administration.

This two-year role may include in-person work at a campus location with some remote options; report to the Research Program Manager and collaborate with finance, program managers, and investigators. Strong communication and organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in lifecycle management of extramurally funded federal awards.
• Demonstrated experience developing and balancing large budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provides training to faculty, staff, and/or administrators within the unit regarding policy, procedure, and/or execution of sponsored project administration.
• Executes research administration operational policies and procedures including financial, administrative, staffing, and compliance on behalf of a unit.
• Executes activities related to financial compliance, audit, or reporting on behalf of a unit.
• Executes activities related to proposal submission, contract negotiation, and/or award setup on behalf of a unit.
• May supervise the day-to-day activities of research administration staff.
• Serves as a key resource to leadership and staff in the unit as well as a liaison to partners and stakeholders.
