Job summary

Campbell Oil Company in Delco, NC is seeking an Operations Specialist to provide daily operational support for the Commercial Fuels department. You will work with Purchasing, Dispatch, Billing, Sales, suppliers and haulers to source, lift, bill, and document loads, focusing on timely, accurate data entry and issue resolution.

The role emphasizes cost savings, system accuracy, and hands-on follow-through with multiple time-sensitive tasks in an office setting, with potential travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
• Prior experience in operations, logistics, dispatch, purchasing, billing, transportation, or admin support preferred.
• Fuel-distribution, terminal, or wholesale industry experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate supplier, terminal, contract, carrier, and pricing information in company systems.
• Support pricing feeds and back-office systems linked to purchasing decisions and pricing analysis.
• Review split-load fees, detention, rerouting charges, and other accessorial costs.
• Determine charges to absorb, bill to customer, or charge back to hauler with internal teams.
• Escalate major issues to Commercial Fuels Manager when needed.
