Job summary

Campbell Oil Company is seeking an Operations Specialist to provide daily support for the Commercial Fuels group. You will maintain supplier, terminal, contract, carrier, and pricing data, link pricing feeds to back-office systems, and help resolve cost issues.

You will review accessorial charges, support audits, and participate in cost-saving projects while coordinating with Purchasing, Dispatch, Billing, Sales, suppliers, and haulers to ensure accurate, timely operations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s preferred.
  • Experience in operations, logistics, dispatch, purchasing, billing, transportation, or administrative support is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate supplier, terminal, contract, carrier, and pricing information in company systems.
  • Ensure pricing feeds and back-office systems link correctly to support purchasing decisions and pricing analysis.
  • Review split-load fees, detention, rerouting charges, rejected-load costs, and other accessorial expenses.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to decide whether charges are absorbed, billed to the customer, or charged back to a hauler.
  • Support special projects, audits, process documentation, and department priorities.
  • Escalate pricing decisions, contractual interpretations, major customer issues, and large financial adjustments to the Commercial Fuels Manager.
