Job summary

Lynker Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented UI/UX Front-End Engineer to support a long-term contract with SWPC at NCEP. You will translate complex scientific data into clean, responsive interfaces on Drupal 10 for spaceweather.gov and testbed.spaceweather.gov.

The role focuses on integrating UI with data streams, accessible design, and collaboration with scientific developers. Remote work may be possible for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Web Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 5+ years of dedicated web development and UI/UX front-end experience.
• Experience with Drupal 10 (Twig, custom layouts, render API).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript (ES6+), and responsive layouts.
• Strong design fidelity and polished UI; Git for version control.

Responsibilities

• Build, theme, and maintain front-end components within Drupal 10.
• Collaborate with backend scientists to integrate UI with data streams and APIs.
• Develop accessible, mobile-first user interfaces for maps, charts, and forecasts.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
• Contribute to design system and component architecture.
