Job summary

Lynker is seeking a detail-oriented UI/UX Front-End Engineer to join our long-term contract for the Space Weather Prediction Center at NCEP. You will translate design comps into responsive Drupal 10 interfaces and collaborate with scientific developers.

You should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years of front-end experience with HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript ES6+, and strong accessibility practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of dedicated web development and UI/UX front-end engineering.
• Experience with Drupal 10 (Twig, custom layouts, render API).
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript ES6+ and modern layouts.
• Strong eye for design fidelity and accessible interfaces.
• Version control with Git and collaborative workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain front-end components in Drupal 10 with HTML5/CSS3/SASS.
• Collaborate with backend scientists to integrate UI components with data and web services.
• Develop design system and reusable front-end assets using modern web standards.
• Create accessible, mobile-first user flows for maps and charts per WCAG.
• Test across browsers and devices to ensure visual consistency and performance.
