Job summary

North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for an EHRA non-tenured track faculty position titled Assistant/Associate Professor of Practice – Extension 4-H Youth Development Specialist. The role centers on Agricultural Literacy and leads statewide Extension programs to build youth skills in agriculture and innovative farming practices.

The successful candidate will provide educational leadership, develop and evaluate programs, and train Extension staff and partners.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in Agricultural Education, Extension Education, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Youth Development or related field.
• Three or more years of experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• In-depth knowledge of state and national trends supporting Extension programs for limited-resource youth.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide Extension programs to improve agricultural literacy among K-12 youth.
• Provide educational leadership in development, management, implementation, and evaluation.
• Deliver training and materials to field staff and clientele in positive youth development.
