Job summary

Amity is seeking an Employment Services Representative to deliver comprehensive employment and case management services to participants through the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR). The role focuses on individualized career planning, readiness, job placement and ongoing support while connecting participants to wraparound resources for long-term stability.

Responsibilities include intake and eligibility, employer engagement, developing ISP, documenting progress, and reporting to Amity and DOR.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, Rehabilitation Counseling, Workforce Development, or a related field, OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent AND a minimum of two years of experience providing employment services, workforce development, case management, vocational rehabilitation, job development, or a closely related field.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive intake, eligibility verification & needs assessments for participants.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with employers to identify employment opportunities.
  • Notify prospective employers of tax credits, fidelity bonding incentives and other hiring benefits.
  • Prepare and update monthly roster of employers willing to hire participants.
  • Correspond with the Agency of Record prior to placement to confirm location/type restrictions.
  • Provide guidance on disclosure of past convictions/parole status to employers.
  • Explain expungement processes and certificates of rehabilitation.
  • Develop, review and update ISP to support employment goals and monitor progress.
  • Monitor progress through all program phases and coordinate with DOR staff.
  • Document progress in case files and complete required referrals to outside agencies.
  • Maintain documentation in Apricot, participant files, trackers and grant reporting systems.
  • Submit monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports to Amity leadership and DOR representatives.
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Program Director, DOR liaisons, and participants.
  • Provide resume writing, mock interviews, time management and workplace readiness training.
  • Assist participants to prepare for workforce, education services or CTE training.
  • Assist with assembling documents to work legally in California and preparing résumés.
  • Provide post-placement retention services and reemployment support.
  • Communicate with DOR counselors, partners, employers and staff to coordinate services.
  • Ensure compliance with Amity policies and government contracting requirements.
  • Coordinate supportive services and referrals to address employment barriers.
  • Attend workshops and trainings as requested; monitor grant performance goals.
  • May serve as Community Advocate as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
