Job summary

Palm Beach State College is seeking a Counseling Center Specialist to support the Counseling Center, Panthers Pantry, PERC program and student assistance funds. The role includes intake, triage, scheduling, data reporting, and helping students with documentation and funding processes.

You will coordinate with the Director of Student Well-Being, assist with outreach, create marketing materials, and maintain web content and social media. Regular travel between campus locations is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field with one year of related experience.
  • Associate’s degree with three years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts student intakes, triages students in crisis, and schedules ongoing counseling, medical, and case management appointments.
  • Responds to requests for linkage to community resources and differing college resources.
  • Oversees Panther’s Pantry operations including food pick up, organization, distribution of supplies, and records maintenance.
  • Facilitates educational and outreach events in a wide variety of settings.
  • Produces, orders, and organizes marketing, educational, and other materials.
  • Provides input to supervisor regarding departmental objectives, goals, or priorities.
  • Assists with department data analytics and documentation including student charts.
  • Aids students in submitting requested documentation needed to process student assistant funding and completes check requests.
  • Prepares marketing materials, such as flyers, brochures and posters for internal and external distribution.
  • Maintains departmental webpage and social media.
  • Prepares work orders, purchase orders, and determines need of office supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
