Job summary

The University of New Mexico Cancer Center Clinical Research Office seeks a Human Protections Specialist to support ethical, compliant, and high-quality human subjects research. You will plan and conduct internal monitoring, develop CAPA plans, and guide regulatory compliance across oncology studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Biomedical Science, or closely related field; minimum 3 years' related experience.
• Experience auditing clinical research or health-related audits and quality improvements.
• Knowledge of FDA and federal/state laws/regulations governing human subjects research.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and conduct internal monitoring and QA reviews of Oncology research studies.
• Develop and implement CAPA plans in response to audit findings and compliance concerns.
• Provide regulatory guidance and promote continuous quality improvement across the program.
