Job summary

The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS), Division of Family & Children Services, seeks a Child Welfare Services Case Manager 1 for the Placement Finding Team in Cairo, Grady County, Georgia. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience coordinating recruitment and placement for foster care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Seek appropriate placement for children in foster care.
• Coordinate and host recruitment activities according to regional recruitment plan—including general, targeted, and child-specific recruitment activities.
• Ensure recruitment activities align with MEPA-IEP expectations.
• Utilize regional removal trends and demographics to develop recruitment plans.
• Recruit prospective caregivers through direct and indirect marketing concepts.
• Facilitate foster parent pre-service training at least quarterly.
• Track caregivers in the onboarding process for timely approval.
• Ensure at least 90% of prospective caregivers are approved within four months of Applicant Status.
• Ensure ICPC assessments meet safety and quality standards per policy timelines.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly contacts per policy and document in SHINES.
• Effectively manage assigned caseload and enter narratives in SHINES within 72 hours of contact.
• Timely completion of home re-evaluations as outlined in policy.
• Conduct needs assessment, service provision, and advocacy for caregivers.
• Ensure all safety and quality standards of the home are met and maintained.
