Job summary

BookNook is seeking Math tutors to deliver pre-designed lessons to students across the United States. Sessions are 30 minutes, with most slots between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM ET, Monday through Thursday, and paid at $20 per hour.

Tutors must operate as independent contractors with access to the BookNook virtual classroom and provided materials. Ideal candidates have classroom or tutoring experience, a college degree, and the ability to build supportive, constructive relationships with students.

Qualifications

• Experience as classroom teacher or tutoring with online instruction preferred.
• Deliver math instruction using pre-designed lesson content.
• Tutor across the USA in grades K-6 and select grade levels.
• Must be available on weekdays 4:00 PM–7:00 PM ET for sessions, with potential to schedule beyond this window.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-designed, best-practice math lessons to provide targeted support for students.
• Attend and facilitate scheduled tutoring sessions with consistency and reliability.
• Adapt sessions as needed within provided content and materials.
• Maintain professional communication with students and parents when applicable.
