Job summary

BookNook is seeking tutors to support students across the United States in math and reading, with sessions typically 30 minutes to 1 hour from 4 PM to 7 PM ET on weekdays. Tutors receive pre-provided lesson content, full scheduling control, and a supportive community, with continued opportunities for extra hours and incentives.

Tutors must be available at least one hour per day during peak window and complete at least 80% of claimed sessions, while respecting student scheduling flexibility.

Qualifications

• Experience: Classroom teacher, EL/ESL/ELL, tutoring, coaching, or similar student support; online instruction experience with a college degree preferred.
• Tutoring Focus: Deliver pre-designed math lessons and reading support to students often seeking to improve skills and topics at or below grade level.
• Rapport: Ability to build meaningful professional connections with students and create an encouraging and motivating learning environment with supportive student corrections.
• Technology: A computer (laptop or desktop), webcam, clean and distraction-free environment, reliable, high-speed internet connection speed of at least 20 mbps.
• Residence: Reside in one of the listed US states.
• Location: All sessions must be conducted from within the 50 United States or Washington, DC.
