Job summary

DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to help teach AI to reason about circuits and hardware, applying judgment gained from years of designing, debugging, and shipping hardware. You will design realistic engineering problems and run them through frontier AI models, judging outputs against your professional standards and writing the rationale behind your calls.

Flexible, remote project-based work available to candidates in supported regions, with compensation up to $125+/hr

Qualifications

2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Fluency in English (native or bilingual).
Ability to defend component- and system-level decisions.

Responsibilities

Design challenging, realistic engineering problems from your practice (circuit to specify, control loop to stabilize, power stage to size).
Run problems through frontier AI models and judge outputs against professional standards.
Compare model versions on identical prompts and identify better performance and gaps.
Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, and calculations with clear reasoning.
Flag concrete failures with evidence: wrong assumptions, sign/units errors, unphysical results, invalid topologies.
