DataAnnotation is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to guide frontier AI models in understanding real electrical and electronics engineering tasks. You will bring judgment from years of hardware design, debugging, and shipping, shaping the next generation of engineering tools.

The role emphasizes building realistic problems, evaluating model outputs, and documenting reasoning with evidence. Flexible, remote options are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong command of circuit analysis and design tradeoffs.
• Ability to defend component-level and system-level decisions and articulate why an answer is wrong.
• Comfort with AI tools or the ability to pick them up quickly.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging engineering problems for frontier AI models.
• Run problems through models and judge outputs against professional standards.
• Compare model versions and identify strengths and gaps.
• Critique model-derived derivations, schematics, and calculations with evidence.
• Flag concrete failures with clear evidence of issues.
