Job summary

Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking a Director of Electrical Infrastructure (Heavy Industrial) for remote work in the United States.

You will lead the practice, drive growth, set technical standards, and act as senior technical authority across asset assessments, reliability programs, and projects. The role collaborates with manufacturing, power, metals, refining, petrochemical, and specialty chemical clients, mentoring engineers and overseeing major proposals and pursuits.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience in heavy industrial engineering environments, preferably consulting.
• Proven success growing engineering or professional services practices with sales growth.
• Strong leadership, people management and collaborative work style.
• Proficient with MS Office and design software; familiar with document control systems.
• Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Electrical Infrastructure Practice within the Heavy Industrial Services Division.
• Develop and execute growth strategies, business plans, and revenue objectives.
• Establish and maintain technical standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Serve as the senior technical authority for assessments, planning, engineering, and reliability initiatives.
• Develop strategic relationships with key clients and industry partners.
• Oversee proposals strategy, technical approaches, and major project pursuits.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering professionals within the practice.
