Job summary

Orbital Engineering Inc. is seeking a Director of Electrical Infrastructure (Heavy Industrial) to lead the practice within the Heavy Industrial Services division.

This remote, U.S.-based role oversees strategic growth, technical excellence, and profitability across electrical infrastructure projects for manufacturing, power generation, metals, refining, and related sectors. The director will establish standards, manage risk-based asset assessments, capital planning, and reliability initiatives,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 15 years in heavy industrial engineering, consulting preferred.
• Proven success leading engineering or professional services practices.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office, design and enterprise software, and document control systems.
• Knowledge of safety standards and industry regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Electrical Infrastructure Practice within Heavy Industrial Services.
• Develop growth strategies, business plans, and revenue objectives.
• Set technical standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Act as senior technical authority for assessments, planning, and reliability.
• Develop client relationships and pursue major business opportunities.
• Oversee project execution and quality across engagements.
• Recruit and mentor engineering professionals.
• Define KPIs for safety, quality, client satisfaction, utilization, growth, and profitability.
• Present at conferences and workshops as an industry leader.
