Job summary

Actalent in Minnesota seeks an Electrical Engineer to advance utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems through all design phases, ensuring quality, constructibility, and NEC compliance while aligning with project scope, schedule, and cost.

You will lead design reviews, coordinate with internal teams and external partners, support permitting, and mentor junior engineers. Remote work flexibility and site travel are possible as you deliver safe, efficient renewable energy solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in solar or power systems design.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and renewable energy standards.
• Hands-on electrical design experience for DC/AC power, MV, grounding, and voltage considerations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PVCase, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design progression from preliminary design to IFC and construction phases.
• Review electrical outputs: conductor schedules, equipment specs, layouts, monitoring, grounding, and voltage drop.
