Job summary

Apollo Technical is seeking a Remote Electrical Engineer to join our power systems team. You will analyze load-flow, stability, and contingency scenarios to support utility-scale transmission planning and project execution.

Responsibilities include scoping projects, preparing RFPs, and coordinating with utilities on feasibility studies and interconnection processes, ensuring compliance with N-1 contingency standards. Experience with PowerWorld, PSS/E, and GE-PSLF is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires B.S. in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 5+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Proficient with load-flow software (PowerWorld, PSS/E, GE-PSLF, E-TAP).

Responsibilities

• Act as SME to support project and facility managers to identify issues and develop solutions.
• Provide technical leadership: prepare reports and represent the organization in planning roles.
• Translate load flow results, stability analyses into business risks, timelines, and financial options for executives.
• Scope power delivery projects, prepare RFPs, develop rough cost estimates, and support land/permit activities.
• Support client engagement with utilities on feasibility studies and interconnection processes.
• Analyze operational scenarios in simulations and perform contingency analyses (N-1, N-1-1).
